- 4 large carrots, peeled and sliced into rings (about 3 c.)
- 2/3 c. water
- 1 Tbsp. butter
- 2 tsp. sugar
- 1 Tbsp. each: basil and oregano
- 2 Tbsp. water
- salt and pepper to taste
Directions

1Add 2/3 cup water to carrots; bring to a boil.

2Add butter and sugar.

3Simmer on low heat for 6 minutes.

4Add basil and oregano. Add 2 tablespoons water.

5Cover and simmer 2 minutes.

6Uncover and simmer until all liquid is absorbed.

7Season with salt and pepper to taste.

8Serves four.
