  • 4 large carrots, peeled and sliced into rings (about 3 c.)
  • 2/3 c. water
  • 1 Tbsp. butter
  • 2 tsp. sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. each: basil and oregano
  • 2 Tbsp. water
  • salt and pepper to taste

Directions

    Add 2/3 cup water to carrots; bring to a boil.

    Add butter and sugar.

    Simmer on low heat for 6 minutes.

    Add basil and oregano. Add 2 tablespoons water.

    Cover and simmer 2 minutes.

    Uncover and simmer until all liquid is absorbed.

    Season with salt and pepper to taste.
