Herbed Spinach Bake

  • 1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen chopped spinach
  • 1 1/2 c. cooked rice
  • 1 c. shredded Monterey Jack or American cheese
  • 2 slightly beaten eggs
  • 2 Tbsp. soft butter or margarine
  • 1/3 c. milk
  • 2 Tbsp. chopped onion
  • 1/2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. rosemary, crushed, or thyme leaves, crushed

Directions

    Cook and drain spinach; mix with rest of ingredients.

    Pour mixture into 10 x 6 x 1 1/2-inch baking dish.

    Bake in moderate oven (350°) for 20 to 25 minutes or until knife inserted halfway between center and edge comes out clean.

    Cut into squares.

    Serves 6. May be prepared ahead and baked at the last minute.
