  • 3 salt herrings
  • 6 boiled potatoes
  • 1/2 c. white vinegar
  • 2 dill pickles
  • 2 apples
  • 3 celery stalks
  • 1 onion, chopped

Directions

    Soak herrings overnight, then bone and skin them.

    Cut herring in small pieces.

    Cut all vegetables into cubes.

    Pour vinegar over entire mixture.
