- 1/2 c. butter
- 2 c. cake flour
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 3/4 c. milk
- 1 c. nuts
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 4 egg whites
- 1/8 tsp. salt
Directions

1Cream sugar and butter until light and fluffy.

2Sift flour with baking powder; add alternately with milk to sugar mixture. Add nuts and vanilla.

3Beat egg whites with salt.

4Fold into batter.

5Pour into well-greased and floured cake pans.

6Bake at 350° for 30 to 35 minutes.
