  • 1 box chocolate fudge cake mix
  • 2 tsp (10 ml). vanilla extract
  • 3/4 cup (175 ml) sugar
  • 2/3 cup (150 ml) white shortening
  • 1/2 cup (125 ml) butter
  • 1 5 oz (140 grm). can evaporated milk
  • 1 can fudge frosting

Directions

    Mix cake mix according to package directions.

    Put in an 11 x 7 inch ungreased baking pan.

    (I have used a 9 x 13 pan also.)

    Bake at 350 degrees (175 C.) for 15-20 minutes, watching closely.

    Make filling from next 5 ingredients; beat for 10 minutes.

    Spread on cooled cake.

    Microwave fudge frosting on high for 1 minute.
  8. 8
    Spread on filling.
