  • 2 1/2 c. flour, sifted
  • 1 c. brown sugar
  • 1 c. white sugar
  • 1 c. Crisco oil
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. chopped pecans
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 Tbsp. vanilla
  • 1 c. buttermilk
  • 1 c. coconut

    Blend brown and white sugars, Crisco oil and salt together until whipped lightly.

    Add eggs.

    Add sifted flour and soda, alternating with milk.

    Add cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla, pecans and coconut.

    Pour into lightly-greased and floured Bundt or tube pan. Bake 1 hour in a 350° oven.

    This cake may be lightly sprinkled with confectioners sugar after baked.
