  • 1 1/2 lb. candied cherries (halves)
  • 1 1/2 lb. candied pineapple, chopped
  • 1 lb. butter
  • 2 c. plain flour
  • 5 eggs
  • 4 c. pecans, chopped
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. black walnut extract

    Cream butter and sugar.

    Add eggs, one at a time, and beat well.

    Add extract and beat well.

    Put fruit and nuts in large bowls.

    Pour batter in and mix well.

    Pour into 2 large greased and floured loaf pans.

    Bake at 250° to 275° for 2 1/2 hours or until tested done.
