- 1 Tbsp. butter
- 1 c. milk
- 2 eggs
- 3 c. flour
- 4 tsp. baking powder
- 1 c. chopped walnuts
- 1 tsp. salt (optional)
Directions

1Cream the butter and sugar.

2Beat in eggs, then milk.

3Mix flour, baking powder, nuts and salt.

4Combine with wet ingredients.

5Makes 2 small or 1 large loaf.

6Pour batter into greased pans. Let stand 20 minutes.

7Bake at 425° for 15 minutes, then at 375° until done, about 45 minutes to an hour more.

8It is best to bake a day or two ahead to let flavor develop.

9Wrap in Saran/Baggie.

10Slice thinly.

11Serve with real butter.
