- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 4 eggs
- 1 Tbsp. almond extract or lemon
- 1 can cherry pie filling
- confectioners sugar
- 1 c. oleo or butter
- 2 c. flour
Directions

1Gradually add sugar to butter in large mixing bowl.

2Cream at medium speed.

3Add eggs one at a time.

4Beat thoroughly after each.

5At low speed, add flour and extract.

6Pour batter into a well-greased and floured 15 x 10 x 1-inch jelly roll pan.

7Mark off 20 squares and place one heaping tablespoon of cherry pie filling in center of each square.

8Bake at 350° for 45 to 50 minutes.

9While warm, sift confectioners sugar over cake.

10Cool. Cut into squares.

11Can also use lemon or blueberry pie filling.
