  • 1/4 c. (1/2 stick) butter or margarine
  • 1 lb. carrots, diced
  • 1 stalk celery, sliced
  • 1 lb. shallots, finely chopped
  • 12 c. dried bread cubes (about 1 lb. loaf)
  • 1 c. halved seedless grapes
  • 1 Tbsp. lemon pepper seasoning
  • 1 Tbsp. rubbed sage
  • approximately 2 c. pan drippings or chicken broth

Directions

    In a large skillet, heat butter; saute vegetables and shallots until tender, about 10 minutes.

    In a large bowl, combine sauteed vegetables, bread cubes, grapes, seasonings and enough pan drippings or broth to moisten (do not saturate).
