  • 1 medium head cabbage, chopped
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • salt and pepper to taste

    Place cabbage in a steamer over 1 inch of boiling water, and cover.

    Cook until tender but still firm, about 6 to 8 minutes.

    Heat butter in a deep skillet.

    Saute the onion until tender.
