  • 1/2 c. dark syrup
  • 1/2 c. butter or margarine
  • 1 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 c. granulated sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 c. all-purpose flour
  • 1 c. chopped pecans or walnuts

Directions

    In large saucepan, bring corn syrup and butter to a boil; stir well and remove from heat.

    Add chocolate; stir until melted, then add sugar, eggs and vanilla.

    Slowly blend in flour and nuts. Pour in greased and floured 9-inch cake pan.

    Bake at 350° for 30 minutes or until done.

    Cool in pan for 10 minutes.
