- 4 qt water
- 1 cake yeast, softened in 1/4 c warm water
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 c lard (shortening)
- 1/2 c sugar
- flour to make soft dough
Directions

1Put flour in bottom of dish pan to cover.

2Put water, yeast mixture, lard (substitute crisco), and sugar.

3Add flour one cup at a time to make dough soft.

4let rise.

5Place in loaf pans and bake at 350 degrees until golden brown.

6Makes six loaves.
