  • 3 c. lukewarm buttermilk
  • 1 yeast cake, dissolved in 1/4 c. lukewarm water
  • 3 c. sifted flour
  • 1/2 c. melted shortening
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 6 c. flour

Directions

    Mix together well, then take it out to floured board.

    Divide into portions and let it stand about 1 hour.

    When risen, roll out.

    Makes 6 to 9 rolls.

    Bake at 350° about 45 minutes.
