  • 2 cans (14 1/2 oz. each) tomatoes, peeled and cut up
  • 1 can (7 oz.) green chilies, diced
  • 4 green onions, finely chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 2 sprigs cilantro
  • dash of hot red pepper sauce to taste
  • 2 Tbsp. olive oil
  • 2 Tbsp. vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp. oregano leaves, crushed
  • dash of sugar
  • salt to taste

Directions

    In a small bowl, mix all ingredients, mashing tomatoes. Cover.

    Refrigerate at least 3 hours to allow flavor to mellow.
