  • 1 gal. fresh berries or grapes
  • 1 lb. granulated sugar

Directions

    Squeeze and mash fruit until it is broken to release juices. Add sugar and mix.

    Put in large, airtight container, glass, crock or plastic bucket with plastic tubing leading to a gallon jug of water.

    Allow to ferment in warm place (70° to 90°) for 12 to 20 days, depending on temperature.

    Strain well and repeat fermenting process with strained juice.

    Add sugar (12 to 15 days).

    Pour in wine bottles and cork.
