  • 1 c. butter
  • 2 c. honey
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 c. buttermilk
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 4 c. flour
  • 2 tsp. soda
  • 1 tsp. ginger
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon

Directions

    Cream butter and honey well.

    Add eggs (beaten), buttermilk and flour sifted with soda, spices and salt.

    Mix well.

    Bake in 2 layers in slow oven at 275° for about 30 minutes.

    Watch closely for honey cake burns easily.

    Can use a 9 x 13-inch pan.
