Honey Custard

  • 3 eggs, beaten
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/3 c. honey
  • 3 c. scalded milk
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • nutmeg

Directions

    Combine eggs, salt and honey.

    Add milk slowly, stirring constantly.

    Add vanilla.

    Pour in custard cups; sprinkle with nutmeg.

    Place cups in pan of hot water and bake in 350° oven for 30 minutes, or until set.

    (If desired, instead of using custard cups, pour into a large mold and bake as above for 45 minutes.)
