Honey Walnut Bread

  • 1 c. milk
  • 1 c. honey
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 1/4 c. butter
  • 2 1/2 c. sifted flour
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/2 c. chopped walnuts

Directions

    Scald milk; stir in honey and sugar.

    Stir over low heat until sugar is melted.

    In a large bowl at slow speed, beat in egg yolks and soft butter.

    Add in thirds the flour with salt and soda; beat 2 minutes.

    Add chopped nuts; mix and pour in bread tin.

    Bake at 325° for about 1 hour and 5 minutes in greased and floured pan. Let stand 15 minutes before removing from pan.

    Makes 1 loaf.
