- 2 c. all-purpose flour
- 1 Tbsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/4 c. shortening
- about 1 c. milk
Directions

1Heat oven to 450°.

2Sift together flour, baking powder and salt.

3Cut in shortening to flour mixture.

4Stir in about 3/4 cup milk with a fork, gradually add additional milk, if needed, to make a soft, almost sticky dough.

5Turn dough out on lightly floured wax paper and knead just until smooth.

6Roll dough about 1/2-inch thick and cut with a floured cutter.

7Place biscuits on a lightly greased baking sheet.

8Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until lightly brown.

9Brush with margarine or butter.
