Hot Broccoli Dip

  • 1 (20 oz.) pkg. frozen broccoli
  • 1/2 lb. oleo
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 1 (8 oz.) can mushrooms, drained
  • 4 to 5 stalks celery, chopped
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 lb. Velveeta cheese, cut in 1-inch cubes

Directions

    Cook broccoli 1/2 time of directions.

    Drain and set aside on paper towel.

    Melt oleo in heavy, ovenproof saucepan.

    Saute onion and celery until soft.

    Add mushrooms and cook 3 to 4 minutes. Add soup and cheese, mixing well after each.

    Add broccoli and mix lightly.

    Cover and place in 300° oven until cheese melts, about 25 minutes.

    Do not overbake.

    Serve with chips or crackers.
