  • 2 c. flour
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1 stick butter
  • 4 Tbsp. cocoa
  • 1/2 c. Crisco oil
  • 1 c. water
  • 1/2 c. buttermilk
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Directions

    Sift flour and sugar into large bowl and set aside.

    Bring butter, cocoa, Crisco oil and water to a boil.

    Add to flour mixture.

    Add buttermilk, baking soda and vanilla.

    Bake in a 9 x 14-inch pan (greased and floured).

    Bake in 375° preheated oven for 35 minutes.
