  • 1 c. warm milk for yeast
  • 2 pkg. yeast
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 12 Tbsp. melted butter
  • 3/4 tsp. cinnamon
  • 3/4 tsp. nutmeg
  • 4 eggs
  • 5 1/2 c. flour
  • 1 c. currants or raisins

    Mix in order listed.

    Cover, let rise until doubled, about 1 1/2 hours.

    Shape into rolls/buns, if desired brush with egg white.

    Let rise again.

    Cut crosses on top.

    Bake at 375° until golden brown.

    Pipe powdered sugar icing on crosses on top of buns.
