Ingredients

  • 3/4 c. brown sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. cornstarch
  • 1 small Tbsp. curry powder
  • 1 can White House sliced apples
  • 1 large can pineapple chunks
  • 2 cans mixed fruit chunks
  • 1 can Bing cherries, pitted
  • 1/4 c. butter, melted

    Pick full beans.

    Snap as if to cook.

    Place them on a scaffle out in the sun.

    Stir them once or twice a day to dry quickly. When they are real dry, place them in cloth bags and hang them up. Or, you can place them in the freezer.

    To cook them, soak overnight.

    Next morning, rinse them good.

    Good with a chunk of fatback or ham hock with plenty of water.

    Salt to taste.

    Cook several hours, until beans are tender.
