Hot Deviled Clam Snack

Ingredients

  • 2 tsp. chopped onion
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp. butter
  • 3/4 c. buttered bread crumbs
  • 2 Tbsp. flour
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 1 can minced clams
  • 1 c. clam liquid and milk to equal 1 c.
  • 2 hard-boiled eggs
  • 1 tsp. parsley
  • 1/2 tsp. salt

Directions

    Saute onion in butter until tender.

    Add flour, salt and pepper; blend.

    Drain clams and add quantity of milk to juice to make one cup.

    Add liquid to flour mixture gradually, until thick. Add remaining ingredients except for bread crumbs.

    Place in shallow glass pie plate.

    Top with buttered bread crumbs. Sprinkle top with paprika.

    Bake until brown at 350° or about 20 minutes.
