Hot Fruit Casserole

Ingredients

  • 1 large can applesauce
  • 1 large can pears
  • 1 large can sliced peaches
  • pineapple chunks
  • 2 bananas
  • 3/4 c. brown sugar
  • 1/3 c. margarine
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1 small can mandarin oranges
  • 1 small jar maraschino cherries
  • 1/2 c. pecans

    Drain fruit well.

    Mix in greased Pyrex dish, except bananas. Heat sugar, margarine and spices.

    Cool, then add to fruit. Refrigerate several hours or overnight.

    Add sliced bananas before baking.

    Bake at 350° for 45 minutes.

    Sprinkle with 3 tablespoons brown sugar and nuts.

    Return to oven 15 minutes.

    Serve warm.
