  • 4 c. Spanish peanuts
  • 1/4 c. margarine
  • 2 heaping tsp. chili powder
  • 1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 tsp. seasoned garlic or onion salt
  • 1 Tbsp. gravy sauce or bacon drippings (optional)
  • dash of Worcestershire sauce

Directions

    Spread nuts in pan and roast 45 minutes at 300°.

    Melt margarine; add other ingredients and simmer a couple of minutes. Pour on nuts and roast another 35 to 40 minutes, stirring frequently.

    Spread on paper towels and sprinkle with salt.
