Ingredients

  • 2 white potatoes, cooked in plain water (save water)
  • 1 c. mashed potatoes
  • 1 c. potato water
  • 1 c. oil in hot potato water
  • 1 heaping c. sugar
  • 2 level tsp. salt
  • 2 pkg. dry yeast
  • 9 or more c. flour

Directions

    Stir first 4 ingredients and add sugar and salt; mix. Dissolve dry yeast in 1 cup warm potato water.

    Mix in.

    Cover and let rise 2 hours.

    Then add flour.

    Let rise 2 more hours. Punch down and make out rolls.

    Put on buttered baking pan or in buttered muffin tins.

    Let rise until doubled in size.

    Bake at 375° for 12 minutes or so.

    Butter tops.
