Ingredients

  • 6 c. flour
  • 1 yeast cake
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 2 c. milk, scalded
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 3 Tbsp. sugar
  • 3 Tbsp. butter

Directions

    Dissolve yeast in 1/2 cup warm water.

    Scald milk; add butter and cool, slightly.

    Add eggs and sugar.

    When warm, add yeast to milk and mix with salt and flour.

    Let rise good.

    Roll out and cut round; brush with butter.

    Double over and place in buttered pan. Let raise and bake at 400° for 20 to 25 minutes.
