- 1 pkg. dry yeast
- 1/2 c. lukewarm water
- 1 tsp. sugar
- 1/2 c. shortening
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 2 tsp. salt
- 2 c. lukewarm water
- 6 or 7 c. flour
Directions

1Preheat oven to 400°.

2Dissolve yeast in 1/2 cup of water and add 1 teaspoon of sugar.

3Cream shortening and 2 tablespoons of sugar.

4Add yeast mixture, 2 teaspoons of salt, 2 cups of lukewarm water and flour.

5Put in refrigerator and pinch off as needed.

6Let rise about 2 hours and bake approximately 15 minutes or until golden brown.
