  • 2 tsp. whole cloves
  • 2 (4-inch) sticks cinnamon, broken
  • 1 (46 oz.) can pineapple-grapefruit juice
  • pinch of salt
  • 3 c. orange juice
  • 1 c. water
  • 1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar

Directions

    Place cloves and cinnamon in center of a small piece of cheesecloth; tie securely.

    Place spice bag and remaining ingredients in a large saucepan; stir to blend well.

    Cook, over medium heat, 30 to 40 minutes.

    Remove spice bag.

    Serve hot. Makes 10 cups.
