- 1 medium head cabbage
- 1 c. uncooked rice
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1 egg
- 1/2 tsp. oregano
- 1 c. onion, chopped
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 1/2 lb. bacon
- 1 jar Ragu
- water
Directions

1Cook rice according to package directions.

2In a large bowl, combine beef, rice, egg, oregano, onion, salt, pepper and 1/2 cup Ragu.

3In a large kettle, boil cabbage head, removing leaves as they become very tender.

4Roll approximately 2 tablespoons of meat mixture in each cabbage leaf.

5Place loose edge down into roaster lined with extra cabbage leaves.

6Top with water, Ragu and bacon strips.

7Bake at 300° for 2 1/2 hours.

8Check every 45 minutes. Add water if necessary.
