Ingredients
- 1 can chickpeas
- 1 large clove garlic
- 1/2 small long green hot pepper (optional)
- 1 large lemon (juice of lemon, not bottle juice)
- 2 Tbsp. tahini (ground sesame)
- 1 small bunch fresh parsley
- olive oil
- 1 tsp. salt to taste
Directions

1Heat beans.

2Drain.

3Put garlic, hot pepper, parsley, lemon juice and tahini in blender or food processor and chop.

4Add beans and salt.

5Blend to fine consistency.

6Reserve a few whole beans for garnish.

7Add a little water if too thick.

8Spread in large, flat plate.

9Make a mound between center and edge of plate in hummos for olive oil.

10Garnish with leftover whole chickpeas and sprigs of parsley.

11Serve with warm pita bread to be dunked into food.
