  • 4 cups chickpeas/garbanzo beans, canned
  • 1/3 cup tahini
  • juice from 1 lemon
  • 2 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 1/2 tsp. cumin
  • 1/4 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

Directions

    - Drain canned chickpeas, reserving some of the canning liquid.

    - Combine ingredients in food processor.

    - Process until smooth; adding reserved liquid if necessary.

    - Serve with pita wedges or vegetable sticks.
