Ingredients
- 1 c. chopped onion
- 1/3 c. Crisco
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 Tbsp. paprika
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 3 lb. chicken pieces
- 1 c. chicken stock or 1 chicken bouillon cube in 1 c. boiling water
- 1/2 pt. sour cream
- 2 Tbsp. flour
Directions

1In a large skillet, cook onion in melted Crisco until soft but not brown.

2Stir in salt, paprika and pepper, then brown the chicken pieces on all sides.

3Add chicken stock or bouillon. Cover and simmer for 50 to 60 minutes, until chicken is tender. Put chicken on a serving platter and keep hot.

4Stir combined sour cream and flour into mixture in skillet.

5Cook and stir until this sauce comes to a boil; pour over chicken.

6Serve with noodles or rice.
