  • 1 pkg. Adolph's 1 hour stew mix
  • 1 1/2 lb. stew beef, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 3/4 c. beef broth
  • 2/3 c. water
  • 1 medium onion, sliced
  • 1/4 c. tomato paste
  • 3 Tbsp. paprika
  • 1/2 tsp. caraway seed (optional)
  • pepper to taste
  • 1 c. sour cream
  • cooked egg noodles, buttered

    In a 4-quart saucepan, evenly sprinkle stew mix over meat. Pierce with a fork.

    Let stand 2 minutes.

    Add broth, water, onion, tomato paste and seasonings.

    Simmer, covered, 1 hour, stirring occasionally.

    Add sour cream.

    Heat through.
