Hunt'S Tomato Sauce Casserole

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. elbow macaroni (Creamettes)
  • 2 small cans or 1 large can Hunt's tomato sauce
  • 1 lb. lean ground beef
  • 1 small can mushrooms
  • 6 ribs celery, diced fine
  • 1 pkg. Mozzarella cheese slices

Directions

    While water is boiling for macaroni, brown hamburger and celery in large frypan.

    When the meat is browned, add tomato sauce and mushrooms.

    Let this simmer while macaroni boils.

    Drain macaroni and put back into the large pot it was boiled in, then add sauce mixture to it.

    Mix well, then put in Pyrex casserole and cover with cheese slices.

    Bake at 350° until cheese melts. When reheating leftovers, put aluminum foil over it.

    Serve with the rest of celery stalks as a salad.
