- 1 c. water
- 1/2 c. butter
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. sugar
- 1 c. flour
- 4 eggs (5 if small)
- ice cream
- hot fudge
- whipped cream
Directions

1In a small saucepan, bring to a boil the water, butter, salt and sugar.

2Add all at once the flour and cook the paste over a low heat, beating it briskly and constantly until the ingredients are thoroughly combined and the mixture clearly leaves the sides of the pan and forms a ball.

3Remove pan from heat and beat in the eggs one at a time.

4(If eggs are unusually small, use an extra one.) Drop tablespoon on greased cookie sheet.

5Bake in hot oven (425°) for 15 to 18 minutes.

6Reduce oven to 375° and bake until golden brown and feels light in the hand.

7If puffs brown too quickly, cover with a piece of paper.
