  • 3 trays ice
  • 1 gal. cucumbers
  • 5 c. sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. turmeric
  • 5 c. vinegar
  • 1/2 c. salt
  • 3 or 4 small onions

Directions

    Put ice over sliced cucumbers and onions; let ice melt.

    Dip vegetables out of ice water and drain.

    Place in mixture of vinegar, sugar and turmeric.
  4. 4
    Cook for 1 minute, then can.
