- 1 c. butter
- 2 c. brown sugar
- 1 c. nuts
- 3 1/2 c. flour
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 eggs
Directions

1Sift soda and salt with flour.

2Mix firm butter and flour together until it looks like crumbs.

3Add brown sugar, then nuts. Beat eggs together until light; mix into the dough which will be rather firm.

4Knead until smooth, then make into the size roll desired.

5Wrap in waxed paper; place in refrigerator overnight or until thoroughly chilled.

6Slice cookies very thin; place on greased baking sheet and bake at 350° until light brown, approximately 12 minutes.

7This dough will keep for several days. Makes 5 to 6 dozen cookies.

8Keep in tightly covered container.
