  • 1 c. brown sugar
  • 1 c. white sugar
  • 1 c. shortening
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 3 c. flour
  • chopped nuts (if desired)

Directions

  1. 1
    Cream together first 5 ingredients. Add flour, baking soda and salt to creamed mixture and mix until well blended. Shape into rolls. Wrap in wax paper and chill. Slice and bake in 350° oven until brown. (Chopped nuts can be added to the batter before baking if desired.)
