- 2 c. boiling water
- 2 c. 100% Bran Buds
- 1 heaping c. shortening
- 3 c. white sugar
- 4 eggs
- 1 qt. buttermilk
- 5 c. plain flour
- 5 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. salt
- 4 c. All-Bran
Directions

1Mix in a saucepan 2 cups boiling water and the 2 cups Bran Buds.

2Set aside to soak.

3Cream together the shortening and sugar.

4Add eggs, one at a time, and then the buttermilk and soaked Bran Buds.

5Transfer to a very large bowl or pan at least 6-quart size.

6Mix and add the flour, soda and salt.

7Fold in the 4 cups All-Bran.

8Fill greased muffin tins, 1/2 full.

9Bake at 400° for 15 to 18 minutes.
