- 1 pkg. dry active yeast
- 1 c. lukewarm water
- 1/2 tsp. sugar
- 2 eggs
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 1/4 lb. butter or margarine, cut in chunks
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1 c. boiling water
- 5 c. all-purpose flour
- 1/3 stick butter or 5 Tbsp.
Directions

1Dissolve yeast with 1/2 teaspoon sugar in the lukewarm water. Set aside while beating eggs lightly.

2Add 3/4 cup sugar, the chunks of butter and salt to eggs.

3Stir in boiling water.

4Cool to lukewarm.

5Add yeast and flour.

6Let stand at room temperature 30 minutes, then cover and refrigerate several hours at least or overnight.
