- 2/3 c. lard
- 1 c. sugar
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1 c. cold water
- 1 or 2 well beaten eggs
- 2 envelopes dry yeast, dissolved in 1/2 c. warm water
- 6 to 8 c. flour
Directions

1Put lard, sugar and salt in 1 cup boiling water.

2Cool.

3Add 1 cup cold water, eggs, dissolved yeast and enough flour to handle. Knead well.

4Put into a greased bowl and cover tightly. Refrigerate several hours or overnight.

5Work into any desired shape.

6Let raise 2 to 3 hours.

7Bake at 350°

8for 15 to 20 minutes.

9Dough can be shaped into doughnuts and fried after they have raised.
