- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1/2 c. chopped onion
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1 1/2 c. milk
- 3/4 c. Bisquick
- 3 eggs
- 2 tomatoes, shredded or chopped
- 1 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
- 1 lb. lean ground meat (beef, pork, lamb or turkey)
- 1/2 c. chopped onion
- 1 Tbsp. prepared mustard
- 2 to 3 tsp. chili powder
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
- 1 (6 oz.) can tomato juice
- 1/2 c. shredded carrot
- 1/3 c. bulgur wheat
- 6 whole wheat hamburger buns, split
- 2 oz. shredded Cheddar cheese (1/2 c.)
Directions

1In a 10-inch skillet, cook meat and onion until meat is brown and onion is tender.

2Drain off any excess fat.

3Stir in the prepared mustard, chili powder and salt.

4Cook and stir for 1 minute.

5Add tomato sauce, tomato juice, shredded carrot and bulgur wheat.

6Bring mixture to boiling; reduce heat.

7Simmer meat mixture, uncovered, for 10 minutes, stirring.

8Serve.

9Spoon the meat mixture onto buns.

10Sprinkle each bun with shredded cheese. Makes 6 servings.
