- 2 c. flour
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 Tbsp. baking powder
- 1 c. water or milk
- 2 Tbsp. cooking oil or soft lard
Directions

1Mix flour, salt and baking powder; stir well.

2Add oil/lard and water/milk to dry ingredients; stir well.

3When dough becomes too stiff to stir, mix with hands.

4Sprinkle flour on counter; knead until dough is smooth.

5Shape dough into a flat, round cake about 1-inch thick.

6Prick with fork 25 times.

7Preheat oven to 325°.

8Bake bannock for 20 minutes until golden brown.

9Eat warm.
