Ingredients

  • 1/2 ounce butter
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 onion medium, sliced
  • 1 piece fresh root ginger peeled and grated
  • 1 1/2 pounds green cabbage shredded
  • 1 teaspoon ground turmeric
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon Garam Masala
  • yoghurt Natural, for serving,, optional

Directions

    Heat a wok or large frying pan until hot, add the butter, oil and the onion and stir fry for 1 minute over high heat, stirring all the time. Add the ginger and continue cooking for a further 1 minute. Add the cabbage with the turmeric, salt and paprika and stir fry for 2 minutes, stirring all the time.

    Stir in the lemon juice and the garam masala and serve immediately.
