- 1 qt. milk
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 1/2 c. cornmeal
- 3 eggs
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 Tbsp. cinnamon
- 1 1/2 tsp. ginger
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 c. molasses
Directions

1Bring milk to a boil. Add cornmeal.

2Stir constantly until smooth and slightly thickened. Remove from stove. Add eggs, sugar, salt, cinnamon, ginger and molasses.

3Mix well.

4Put into baking dish about 2-inches deep. Cover with wax paper.

5Bake approximately 1 hour at 400° in a pan of water or until wax paper can be lifted without paper sticking.

6Serve hot with vanilla ice cream.
