- 3 Tbsp. yellow cornmeal
- 1/3 c. molasses
- 3 c. scalded milk
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 Tbsp. butter
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. ginger
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 c. cold milk
Directions

1Scald the 3 cups of milk; stir in cornmeal and molasses.

2Cook over low heat until thickened, stirring constantly.

3Remove from heat; add everything but cold milk.

4Pour into buttered baking dish.

5Bake at 300° for 30 minutes.

6Add cold milk; do not stir. Continue baking at 300° for 2 hours.

7Serve with whipped cream.
