- 3 c. milk
- 1/3 c. molasses
- 1/3 c. yellow corn meal
- 1 beaten egg
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 1/2 tsp. ground ginger
- 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp. salt
Directions

1In saucepan, combine milk and molasses; stir in corn meal. Cook and stir until thick, about 10 minutes.

2Remove from heat. Combine egg, sugar, butter, ginger, cinnamon and salt.

3Gradually stir in hot corn meal mixture.

4Bake in a 1-quart casserole uncovered at 300° about 1 1/2 hours.

5Serve warm in individual dish with small scoop vanilla ice cream.
